This piece was a collaboration between the fellow students of my Video 1 class at Stevens Institute of Technology. The footage used was captured by various members of the class, including myself, and the editing was done entirely by myself.

This is a piece I made using a combination of found footage from archive.org as well as visual effects and video processing. The piece is a narrative about the impact made on local wildlife in Pripyat, Ukraine after the infamous Chernobyl Disaster.

Kore (and she danced…)

in ancient Greece, a Kouros is a marble sculpture of a young boy. In 1945, Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi created his own, abstracted interpretation of the greek Kouros. Similarly, the female versions of the Ancient Greek sculptures Noguchi was referencing are called Kore. For this particular project I decided to make my own abstracted version of the Greek Kore sculptures as tribute to Noguchi’s Kouros. Instead of actually crafting the sculpture from marble, I created the piece as a 3D Model, and then animated the render to create a scene. As the scene progresses, a storm surrounds the woman, and she dances.
